- When Moving Into a New Home- If you are moving into a new home, one thing you should do as soon as possible is get the door locks changed. You don’t know how many keys to the current locks there are or who might have access to a copy. To make sure you have full control over who can get into your home and who can’t, you should get the locks replaced with new ones.
- After Losing Your Keys- Another situation in which you should get your door locks changed is after you or someone else in your household has lost their exterior key. Once that key gets lost, you don’t know where it will end up, and it could potentially fall into the wrong hands. To protect yourself and your home, we recommend getting your locks replaced to render that missing key useless to potential intruders.
